Temporary 30mph Speed Restrictions A326 Marchwood Bypass/Hythe Bypass/Long Lane Holbury

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the traffic authority, Hampshire County Council, proposes to make an Order to allow for highway maintenance works to be undertaken, as follows:-

 

EFFECT OF ORDER:

To impose a 30 mph speed restriction (as signed on site) on those lengths of:


i) A326 Marchwood Bypass between its roundabout junction with A35 at Totton (Rushington roundabout) and its junction with A326 Totton Western Bypass.


ii) A326 Hythe Bypass and Long Lane Holbury between its roundabout junction with B3054 at Dibden Purlieu (Heath roundabout) and its roundabout junction with B3053 Fawley Road Holbury.

 

PERIOD OF RESTRICTION:

From 8th March 2010 for a period of six months or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that the restriction will be required for no longer than four months.)

 

The existing speed limit restrictions on the lengths of roads described above will be suspended for the duration of the works.

 

Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
