Product recall of Nestlé Honey Nut Cheerios due to potential choking hazard

Cereal Partners UK has recalled certain batches of Nestlé brand Honey Nut Cheerios due to the presence of lumps of honey and sugar.

The company is concerned that some of these lumps are hard and could potentially cause a choking hazard or be difficult to eat.

The affected batches are:

  • L 43200838 – best before Nov 2005
  • L 43230838 – best before Nov 2005
  • L 43500838 – best before Dec 2005

These codes are located in the 'best before' date panel on the top of the box.

The sizes affected are:

  • 600g Honey Nut Cheerios
  • 375g Honey Nut Cheerios
  • 375g + 50% extra free Honey Nut Cheerios

No Other Nestlé Cereal products are known to be affected

Cereal Partners UK has undertaken a full product recall and will be placing a product recall notice in the national press on 8 March 2005.
