Traffic police are appealing for witnesses after a gentleman lost his life on Saturday evening.
The gentleman has been named as Michael Teague, a devoted and respected father of five who was an active member of the Waterside Catholic Parish and was employed by the Cadland Estate near Calshot.
The fatal collision between Michael Teague and a white Mercedes Sprinter van, on Fawley Road, near Fawley village centre at 11.10pm on Saturday 30 April 2005.
Mr Teague was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where he died shortly afterwards.
Police have been questioning the van driver, who was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol.
