Hants Web Awards 2005 |
Prizes worth £10,000 will be presented
to the 12 winners and the runners up at a prestigious Awards
Ceremony in March 2006.
Have you got a favourite local website, or use online
services? Do you use the internet in your nearest
library or internet café? Or perhaps you
manage a community website?
You can help us identify the best online services, websites
and access points to the internet in Hampshire and the
Isle of Wight, in Hampshire County Council’s Hantsweb
Awards 2005.
- Nominate online at www.hants.gov.uk/hantswebawards until
16th December 2005
- You can nominate your own website
- You can nominate more than one website
- The same website can be entered into more than one
category
- The website must be based in Hampshire or
the Isle of Wight
- Hampshire County Council funded websites are not eligible
- If you want to nominate a website but can’t decide
on the category, just tell us what is good about it on
the nomination form and let the judges decide.
There is something for everyone with 12 award categories
including a new award for the best recreation
and tourism website in Hampshire or the Isle of
Wight.
The website award categories are:
Accessible websites
which meet the
needs of users irrespective of any technical or physical
limitation they may have
Best interactive websites
easy for
users whether buying online, referencing and downloading
information, or for entertainment
Community or voluntary organisations
Public internet access points
(in community
centres, libraries, internet cafes)
Public services
(district and borough
councils, health, emergency services)
Recreation and tourism
Rural enterprises
Schools
Small local businesses
(250 employees
or less)
Special interest websites
(charities,
clubs, societies, personal websites but no commercial
companies)
Town or parish councils
Young people’s website
run by
young people for young people (up to 25 years)
