Electoral Registration Form
Electoral Registration Form
New Forest residents are being urged to return their electoral registration forms so they can vote and have their say in local and national elections.

The new electoral register, which will contain the names of the people eligible to vote in the UK, will be published on 1 December 2005.

Forms will be sent to all homes in district over the next few weeks for residents to complete.

Dave Yates, returning officer for the New Forest and chief executive of the council, stressed the importance of completing and returning the forms.

“Each year we have a short period of time to prepare and publish the new electoral register," he said. "It is important people complete and return the forms as quickly as possible.

"During this year's election, some people were unable to vote because they hadn't returned their details in time."

The electoral registration forms are now being sent out in a clearly marked envelope to help residents identify these important documents.

Anyone who needs further information or has not received a form by Tuesday 13 September should contact the electoral services helpline on 023 8028 5445.
