Police are appealing for information relating to the identities of three women seen on CCTV at Bitterne Post Office on Thursday, June 22.
It is believed these women may hold vital information which could assist police investigating a distraction burglary which took place in Blackfield earlier that day.
A 70-year-old woman received a knock on the door of her property in Hampton Close at approximately 3pm on Thursday, June 22.
A man at the door enquired about cutting the woman’s grass.

The woman told him this was not required but the man invited himself into the hallway of her home. He pointed towards the back door and the woman saw two other men in the back garden.
The man then left the property and drove away in a bright blue coloured van.
After the man had left the woman noticed that almost £300 cash and a white leather handbag had been stolen from the living room.
Following the incident a cash withdrawal was made from a post office counter using a bank card stolen from the address.
Police believe the women in the CCTV images may be able to assist officers investigating the incident.
