Police are appealing for information after an arson incident at an address in Heather Road in Fawley.

A fire was found in the living room of an unoccupied property, owned by New Forest District Council, at 2.45am on Saturday, November 25.

The front door was smashed open to gain entry to the property. Items of furniture in the living room were found to be alight and extensive damage was caused to this room. No injuries were sustained.

Two men were seen running away from the scene. Police would like to speak to anyone who may have seen these men in Heather Road around the time of the incident, or the owner of a silver saloon car which was parked on the driveway of the premises the previous evening.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Foster or CID at Hythe police station on 0845 045 45 45, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
