The refinery catalytic cracker and associated units will be shutdown on Friday 29 September. This is part of a scheduled maintenance activity that occurs approximately every 6 years.

The work is expected to continue throughout October. Some work will necessitate 24 hour working using both local and non local labour and in addition there may be an increase in traffic movement around the Refinery.

During the event there may be occasions that the background noise may change and be different from historical norms. This will be monitored and steps taken to minimise background noise .

At the beginning and end of this planned activity there will be some additional flaring. This is a safe and essential part of the operation.

We will be taking all practical measures to limit any inconvenience to our neighbours.
