Calshot Beach
A 21-year-old man has been charged following reports of criminal damage to beach huts at Calshot.

Luke William Franklin of Tristan Close, Calshot is due to appear at New Forest Magistrates Court on Friday, December 7th on burglary, criminal damage and drug related charges.

Three other youths have been arrested in connection with antisocial behaviour and criminal damage at Calshot Beach, two received a final warning from police and one was released with no further action.

Safer Neighbourhoods Officers frequently patrol Calshot Beach and the surrounding areas and will deal robustly with anyone engaging in any form of criminal activity or antisocial behaviour.

Police Constable Adrian Woodhead said: “Beach huts are treated no differently to any other property. Burglary or criminal damage caused to the huts will be treated just as seriously as it would be if it involved a home address. The owners of the beach huts pay a great deal of money to own and maintain them.”
