In a statement, Terry Stubbs’s family said:
“To lose a precious son and beautiful granddaughter is too much to bear, but we would like to say a few words about Terry and Channon who died tragically and needlessly.
“Terry and Channon were extremely close.
We are proud to be Terry’s mum, brothers and sister, and Channon’s auntie, uncles and nanny.
Terry was a very hard worker and a keen fisherman. Both of them were fun loving, generous and loved life.
“Channon was a right chatterbox at times, but was extremely caring.
They had a joint love of dogs, family life and sadly motorbikes. They had everything to live for.
“Terry and Channon were very popular with many friends and will be sadly missed. Terry is now reunited with belated dad, Gary, and niece Chloe.
“Thanks to everyone for their kind messages and wishes.
“We now need to come to terms with our losses, so please respect our privacy while we have time to grieve.
“We love you Terry and Channon, take care and look after each other from a heartbroken Julie, Simon, Charlotte and Sam.”
In a statement, Terry Stubbs’s girlfriend, Emma Logan said:
“Terry was my world and my future. He was due to move down to Somerset next weekend. We were both very excited about our new adventure together.
“I am devastated to have lost him and beautiful Channon who was so full of wit and humour, wise beyond her years.
“I will love and miss them both forever.”
