Detectives in the New Forest are appealing for information after two arson incidents in the Blackfield area in the early hours of Thursday, December 18.
Police were called by Hampshire Fire and Rescue service following fires at a residential property at Furzey Close and Blackfield Health Centre between 3.30 and 4.15am.
A small amount of damage was caused at each premises. Police are treating both incidents as suspicious.
Detective Constable Matt Parker of Lyndhurst CID said: “Thankfully no-one was hurt as a result of these fires.
One of the incidents resulted in a family having to be evacuated for a short duration “Arson is a very rare occurrence but people who commit this type of crime run a real risk of endangering the lives of themselves and others.
Anyone who may have witnessed either incident or noticed suspicious activity in the area is asked to contact us.”
