Leaving from Swan Green Lyndhurst Cricket Ground at 11 o'clock, Sunday 8 June, postcode SO43 7TD
Route will be 50 miles through the New Forest National Park.
For those who did not have the pleasure of knowing Mike Bond, Mike worked at Scottish and Southern energys Malwood depot, Minstead.
He sadly lost his life in 2006 to cancer aged only 46 years. He is missed by everyone in the depot, we keep his memory alive with this rideout every year and also to raise money for charities that would be close to my heart.
Starting from Swan Green Cricket Ground Lyndhurst, and finishing at Mike's old local The Swan Inn, Bournemouth Road, off the cricket ground.
Myself (Steve Ford) and Kevin Lyn will be there from 9:30 a.m..
Riders £5.00 and pillions £2.00 (please pay on the day) all money raised will go to Naomi House, Children's Hospice, Stockbridge Road, Sutton Scotney, Winchester, Hampshire. SO21 3JE Charity registration number. 1002832.
Donations raised up to £1,000 will be matched by one of our sponsors, Scottish and Southern energy who very kindly gave £1000 last year.
If you don't ride then you're more than welcome to join us on our return to the Swan Inn between 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. approximately, where a trophy will be presented by Andy Mills.
The Swan Inn has a really nice carvery so why not stay for lunch?
We will have Riders not familiar with this area, so please look after them on route, or so as we did last year Riders who know the route will wear high vis jackets.
Everyone is welcome to the event, all depots, all areas, all bikers and motorcycle clubs, your families and friends.
£1570 was raised at last year's 2007 rideout and at The Swan Inn afterwards for Cancer Research. Please wear motorcycle clothing and ride with care as we all want to remember this ride out for all the right reasons.
The new Forest speed limit is (stay below 40 mph) please stick to this. Last year we had classic cars turn up, please feel free to bring yours on the route.
The route is attached if you have a Garman GPS mapsource, I can send the route to you through e-mail.
Let's have a great day and a safe one, thank you, Steve Ford.
