As a result of the overwhelming success of the 2008 Fawley Fun Day the event will be returning to Gang Warily Recreation Centre on Saturday, May 9 2009.
The aim is to engage families and young people in activities based in the local community.
It is organised and run by a wide variety of public agencies with Hampshire Constabulary, Fawley Parish Council, New Forest District Council and Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service taking the lead on this year’s event.
Local businesses have been approached to sponsor the event and despite the current economic outlook they have been very generous.
Special thanks should be given to Exxon Mobil who is the event’s main corporate sponsor this year.
The event will see the return of the Fawley Cup a five-a-side football tournament for local youths.
Further events will be confirmed closer to the day.
