Visitors to Exbury over the weekend thrilled to the sight and sound of six steam engines puffing round the track.
Exbury’s own three engines, Mariloo, Naomi and Rosemary, were joined by three from Exmoor Steam Railway – Lorna Doone, Ellie and an unnamed engine.
“They looked terrific as they travelled along the railway,” said Ian Wilson, Exbury’s railway foreman. “It was a real celebration of steam,”.
Steam enthusiasts who missed the sight have another chance to see the magnificent six this coming weekend, August 8th and 9th. |
