Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a robbery in Rollestone Road, Holbury.
 
At around 10.15pm on Monday, June 29, a 22-year-old man from Fawley was walking along the road, whilst talking on his mobile phone.
 
The man was approached from behind by two men, who hit him on the head with an unknown object, causing him to fall to the ground.
 
The pair then stole the man’s phone before walking away.
 
The man did not suffer any serious injury.
 
The pair who approached him are described as:
 
Man 1:

· White


· Aged between 20 and 25 years old


· 6ft tall


· Slim build


· Dark brown hair


· Wearing a white hooded top, dark jeans and white trainers

Man 2:

· White

 

· Aged between 20 and 25 years old

 

· 5ft 9ins tall

 

· ‘Chubby’ build

 

· Curly black hair

 

· Wearing a black zip up fleece jacket which had writing across the front, black jeans and black trainers

Detective Constable Tony Bratton said, “This appears to be an isolated incident which took place in a residential area of the New Forest. Due to the hot weather there may have been residents with their windows or doors open who might have heard or seen what happened, and we are looking for any available information.”
