Day for Change

Listen Now

Children and staff at Cadland Primary School will be thinking about how precious water is around the world and how we can use it more wisely on Wednesday 19th May – a Day for Change.

The whole school will dress in blue to represent water and all money raised on the day will go to the school’s chosen charity of UNICEF.

Children will enjoy a range of activities linked to water which have been thought up by our School Councillors. These include discussing why a tap in Kenya has a padlock, thinking of top tips for saving water, art based on water, water poetry and posters created using ICT skills. Children will also walk for water to represent people who have to walk miles to collect it.

The day will give children a strong message about the importance of clean water and continues our work on the school’s charter, which has adopted the UNCRC Rights of the Child.
