A fabulous wedding venue in Exbury Gardens is the prize waiting to be won by a couple planning to marry next year.

The pretty Five Arrows Gallery in the award-winning Gardens will be decorated in shimmering gold at the Exbury Wedding Fair on Saturday and Sunday 12 and 13 September, when couples will have a chance to win the venue for their own wedding.

“The Gallery is much in demand for weddings throughout the year, so we are hoping to make someone’s dream come true by offering it as a prize,” said Nigel Philpott, Exbury’s commercial and marketing manager.

The Gardens, close to Beaulieu in the New Forest and owned by a charitable trust, has become a favourite wedding venue.

More than 40 exhibitors, from marquee rentals to dress designers, florists to chocolate fountains and fireworks, jewellers, balloon makers, cake makers and caterers, will be on hand to help engaged couples plan their dream day.

And entry for all adults to Exbury over the weekend of September 12th and 13th is a rock-bottom £2 a head so that everyone may enjoy the displays.

Mellow music from the Keysworth Quartet and saxophonist Paul Burger will play softly in the background in Mr Eddy’s restaurant and the Engine Shed, where most of the exhibitors are situated.

One of the Garden’s buggies will ferry passengers to the Five Arrows Gallery where a beautiful wedding landau, drawn by two splendid horses, will be waiting to carry them to the next stop – the fully decorated wedding marquee on the lawn in front of Exbury House.

Exbury’s much-loved steam train, decorated appropriately, becomes the Wedding Belle while a vintage coach, known affectionately as the ‘Old Girl’ offers her services to wedding guests needing transport to and from the Gardens.

“We have a good balance of exhibitors and we’ve thought of everything a bride and bridegroom would want on their big day,” said Anita Gresham-Hale from Vizzit Media, the company organising the Wedding Fair. “Exbury is a beautiful garden and a wonderful venue for a wedding, so we are looking forward to showing couples how to plan for the perfect day.”

The wedding venue prize offered by Exbury Gardens is worth £650.
