Armed Forces flag flown at NFDC offices

On Monday 22 June, NFDC Chairman Cllr Allan Glass raised the Armed Forces Day flag outside the council’s main offices at Appletree Court in Lyndhurst.

Cllr Glass was joined by his consort, Mrs Chris Glass.

Armed Forces Week aims to raise awareness of the contribution made to our country by those who serve and have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces.

The flag will fly until the end of Armed Forces Day on Saturday 27 June 2020.

Cllr Glass said, “Armed Forces Week recognises the important public role service personnel have, and are currently having in their key role in the country’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic.  I am honoured to be able to pay tribute in this way.”
