Opportunities for Dibden and Fawley residents

New Forest District Council, Radian Housing and Hampshire libraries are working together to create more opportunities for residents in Dibden and Fawley.

Free ‘cooking on a budget’ courses will run at St Annes Neighbourhood Centre in Netley View on Wednesdays 1pm – 3pm from 9th – 30 November.  Sessions will cover how to cook a range of simple meals, food shopping ideas, food hygiene and storage and the importance of healthy eating to your health and wellbeing.

The informal, friendly classes will give local residents who may have had little experience of cooking for themselves the chance to taste the recipes, ask questions and gain useful tips to try at home.  Call Debbie Grace at Community First New Forest on 01425 482773 for more information and to book.

There are also free computer courses for job seekers which will start on 18th  November and run until 16 Dec.

These will run on Fridays,  10am- 12noon, at Hythe library and cover basic computing, and using the internet for job searches.  Contact Hythe library on 023 8084 1457 for more information and to book a place or visit www.hants.gov.uk/shop

Radian Housing are also hoping to start a new community group for Heather Road residents. If you would like to come together with others and make a difference in your community, contact Jess on 01425 485013 to find out more
