Fawley Waterside unveils masterplan for former Fawley Power Station site

Fawley Waterside Limited is unveiling its emerging masterplan to regenerate the former Fawley Power Station site into a modern, employment-led hub for enterprise, innovation and clean energy.

The proposals aim to maximise the site’s strategic location on the Solent, attracting investment across key sectors including energy, engineering, maritime and digital industries.

The development could deliver up to 120,000 sqm of employment space, supporting new jobs and contributing to regional growth and the UK’s energy resilience.

A public consultation launching on Tuesday 30 June 2026 will provide an opportunity for people to view the emerging masterplan and share feedback.

In-person events will be held at:
3pm – 7pm on Tuesday 30 June 2026 – Jubilee Hall, The Square, Fawley, SO45 1DF
3pm – 7pm on Wednesday 1 July 2026 – St George’s Hall, Calshot, SO45 1BP

Members of the project team will be available to answer questions, and feedback can be submitted at the events, online, or by contacting the project team.

The proposals will also be available to view and comment on between Tuesday 30 June and Tuesday 21 July 2026 on the project website: http://www.fawleywaterside.co.uk

Feedback will inform the final proposals ahead of a second round of consultation later this year, before the plans are submitted to New Forest District Council.

Earlier this year, Fawley Waterside Limited submitted an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Scoping Request to New Forest District Council to determine the level of EIA that will be needed to assess the proposed development of the site as part of the future planning application later this year.
